The IFAF team attended the Jerusalem Biennale for five days. The event, which runs from October 10-November 28, 2019 highlights Jewish artists who practice contemporary fine art from around the globe. Throughout the city of Jerusalem performances, film screenings, and exhibitions celebrate the diversity within the Jewish voice. The YMCA on King David Street was a beautiful historical venue. Echoes of the past in the architecture and stonework gave the setting a dynamic edge for a variety of exhibitions and installations:
“Ziara: Moroccan Common Wisdom”
Curator: Amit Hai Cohen
“In the Absence of Writing”
An installation by Astha Butail
“I’m Not!”
An installation by Ani Lavine Arnowitz
