Jody West is an American artist currently living and working in Italy. She specializes in painting, in which she obtained a Bachelor’s of Fine Art from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater in 2003. In her current works, she most often applies a mixed-media technique on cradled panel, but also explores methods of printmaking.
The common thread that binds her pieces is undoubtedly her Christian faith. Her works are often visual representations of her grappling with divinity, and through them, theological questions that humanity has pondered for centuries are reinterpreted in a modern context.
