Tatjana Jovancevic works on paper and on-site. The war in Yugoslavia in the 1990s made her question whether she would return home again. This experience informs Jovancevic’s artwork with themes of belonging, displacement, disappointment and hope. Artworks during her Colorado Art Ranch Residency were featured on Nature.org, highlighting her engagement with the environment. She is a recipient of the ARTSlant Prize (Mixed Media). Jovancevic’s most recent solo exhibition “Tracing the Inscape” was on view at St. Xavier University in Illinois. The artist lives and works in Chicago.
