Luz Art NYC presents “Eden Restored” artist Rachel Neikirk.
In this exhibition “Eden Restored” silk painter Rachel Neikirk presents heaven as a glorious, global garden. She draws upon tree and garden metaphors from throughout the Bible, especially in Genesis, Revelation, and the Gospels. Jesus is the Gardener and Vinedresser of a multifaceted garden containing stunning flora and fauna from twelve regions of the earth. The twelve regions refer to the twelve gemstones and twelve kinds of fruit born by the Tree of Life in Revelation 21-22. Within the gardens are men and women representing a restored Adam and Eve from the nations of the earth, abiding in Jesus the Vine. The seven-foot-tall silk paintings fill the room, inviting everyone to get lost in imagining the glory that is to be revealed in the new heavens and the new earth.
